THE LAST RESORT describes the lives stories of beach-goers revolving around a very popular beach located in Trieste, in the Northeast of Italy, where a wall still separates men from women.

A film about boundaries, identities and discrimination.

A tragicomedy on human nature.

Thanos Anastopoulos and Davide Del Degan


Thanos Anastopoulos is born is Athens and lives between Greece and Italy. His first feature, Atlas-Olo to varos tou kosmou is presented in Rotterdam IFFR 2004. His second one,
Correction (Diorthosi) is selected in Berlinale 008 and is representing Greece at the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film. In 2013, he directs La Fille (I Kóri) in selection in both Berlinale and TIFF.

Davide Del Degan starts as a machine-operator, editor and assistant-director in 1997. He directs several awarded short films: A corto d'amore (2001), Interno 9 (2004), Il prigioniero (2007), Favola Zingara (2009), et Habibi (2011).
